Eagle’s Lift Ministries Pregnant Teen Shelter
Pregnancy should be a time of great joy with family and friends gathered together with anticipation, eager for the new arrival, wanting to do anything they can to help the expectant mom.
Unfortunately that is not possible for some pregnant teens. They do not have that type of support in the most tumultuous time of their life. They are rejected by the one they thought loved them, cast out of their home for the shame they have brought to the family, school mates degrade them, and life in general takes a downward spiral. They feel lost, desperate, alone and griped by fear. They have lost all self esteem and begin to fall into deep depressions. Some even try to commit suicide. Some enter into a state of denial and confess "I did even know that I was pregnant" when they are confronted. They enter into a state of shock and disbelief not knowing what to do next. Some try to turn to the Doctor, school councilor, friends or their church to find help only to find very limited advice. That's when the true devastation begins because the choices they make now will affect them for the rest of their life.
If we can get to these young women we have the opportunity to turn their life around and perhaps their families too! Instead of feeling helpless, they can be reassured that they can learn what to do and how to do it. No longer will they be the victim but be the VICTOR. They will find out their purpose in life and take CHARGE of the rest of THEIR LIFE. At Eagle’s Lift we want you to know, “Everyday is a new day, make the most of it.
YOU are the only one who CAN!
We have a few facilities that need maintainance and repairs to get us started but expansion will need to get underway as soon as possible. After we get the required maintainance and repairs completed we will begin the planning for additional facilities.
